Sons of God live by the Spirit

Gal5
1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves
be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

13 You, my brothers, were called to be free.
But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature;
rather, serve one another in love.

16 So I say, live by the Spirit,
and you will not gratify the desires
of the sinful nature
.

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Romans 8
13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die;
but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body,
you will live,

14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

15For you did not receive a spirit
that makes you a slave again to fear,
but you received the Spirit of sonship.
And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

Looks like there is still a choice we need to make everyday to live by the Spirit and not to let ourselves be burdened again by the yoke of slavery.

The yoke of slavery comes into effect if we choose to subject ourselves to acts of the sinful nature, the flesh, and there is law against such things.

But there is hope in that we can chooose not to indulge in acts of the sinful nature or acts of the flesh.

We can only choose to overcome this by the spirit and not by the flesh. Perhaps in constant communication with our Abba Father (the Father of our spirit).

If our troubled heart has not found the peace yet, or we run out of words to pray, or do not know how best to pray for our situations, we may engage the Holy Spirit in our prayer by praying in tongues.

For when we pray in tongues, our spirit prays and the hindrance of our canal mind and limited understanding and experience is removed.

When we pray in tongues, we engage the supernatural, we engage our Abba.

When do we stop praying? Perhaps until we feel the peace that surpasses all understanding filling and guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus steps in.

Notice not in Lord Jesus but in Christ Jesus, means in the Anointed Jesus, in the Messiah Jesus.

Notice only when we are IN Christ Jesus that our hearts and minds are guarded by the peace of God, not in our will power, not in our bank accounts, not in our education, not in our jobs, not in our parents, not in our spouse, not in our children, not in our ability, not in anything or anyone else physical which we put our security in but in Christ Jesus and in Christ Jesus alone.

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 1:7
7For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. (NIV)
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (NKJV)
7For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. (Amplified Bible)

Notice it is spirit not flesh.

Therefore I can conclude that if we live by the spirit, we can put to death the misdeeds of the body by the spirit and only by the spirit. We cannot put the death the misdeeds of the body by the flesh or our own will power, we can only do this by the spirit with the help of the Holy Spirit within us.

Sometimes, don't we hate the words discipline and self-control, perhaps we don't have such traits in us, but praise Jesus, He has, He will put these inside of us, we can rest easy in Him. Then we can see the power to live a victorious, prosperous and peaceful life flowing in our lives everyday.

Yes, we only have the here and now, live in it. Enjoy Jesus.

Our prayer for everyday could be ...
Ephesians 1:17
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
