The love of money is the root of all evil.

1 Timothy 6:10 (King James Version)

10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

If the love of money is the root of all evil, guess where is the soil?

Evil here could mean all the evils that are happening in our lives. Barreness, futility, sickness and disease, worries, heartaches, debts, etc.

The soil here is our heart. This implies that the love of money is the cause of all evil that is happening in our lives and the lives of those around us.

Let us see what Jesus said what we should be.

Hebrews 13

5Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."

6So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"

Mark 11:17 (King James Version)

17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, the temple is the house of God, this house of God is a house of prayer for all nations.

How can anyone make their own temple of God a den of thieves?
The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy.
If the love of money is the root (cause) of all evil, then
the love of money is the foothold for the den of thieves (the works of the enemy in our lives).

Jesus said we cannot serve God and money. We must choose one.

And if we as children of God choose to love money, then we are actually choosing to invite the root of all evils into our lives. As our heart is occupied with other love than the love of God. The love of money has opened the door to the den of thieves not wonder we see the works of the enemy running rampant.

If any of us has made this mistake what should be do?
Repent (change our mind).

Mark 11
15 So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 16 And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple.

Recognise and drive out busy and unfruitful activities that are causing troubles in our lives and causing worries in our hearts. Do not fret. Have rest in the heart.

Knowing our temple is a house of prayer for the nations.

THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS (author unknown)

~~~THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS~~~
To forgive
Is really to remember
That nobody is perfect
That each of us stumbles
When we want so much to stay upright
That each of us says things
We wish we had never said
That we can all forget that love
Is more important than being right
To forgive is really to remember
That we are so much more
Than our mistakes
That we are often more kind and caring
That accepting another's flaws
Can help us accept our own
To forgive is to remember
That the odds are pretty good that
We might soon need to be forgiven ourselves
That life sometimes gives us more
Than we can handle gracefully
To forgive is to remember
That we have room in our hearts to
Begin again.
Live simply. Love generously.
Care deeply. Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God !
