~~~THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS~~~
To forgive
Is really to remember
That nobody is perfect
That each of us stumbles
When we want so much to stay upright
That each of us says things
We wish we had never said
That we can all forget that love
Is more important than being right
To forgive is really to remember
That we are so much more
Than our mistakes
That we are often more kind and caring
That accepting another's flaws
Can help us accept our own
To forgive is to remember
That the odds are pretty good that
We might soon need to be forgiven ourselves
That life sometimes gives us more
Than we can handle gracefully
To forgive is to remember
That we have room in our hearts to
Begin again.
Live simply. Love generously.
Care deeply. Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God !
God's eyes is going back and forth the earth to see ...
Yes, God's eyes is looking back and forth the earth to see who He could show favour to. To see who has given up their futile pursuits and have turned their eyes over to Him for help. He is an ever present help our times of need. The reward of trusting in the Lord is to see the desires of our hearts fulfilled. Yes, it is absolutely rewarding to trust in Him.
Have a "David" spirit,
have a never say "die" attitude, even in the midst of pursuit of his enemies, he could still sleep well in the desert.
Have a "Joseph" spirit,
have a God consciousness spirit, he did not despair when he was sold to Egypt, and did not blame God even when he was wrongly accused and landed in the dungeon.
Have an "Abraham" spirit,
A man who can bargain with God for the deliverance of a city
if only he had continued to ask God to spare the city for the sake of one righteous perhaps the Lord might use Lot to save the whole city.
Always trust in the Almighty despite anything that is happening around us. Let go and let Him take control is to simply trust in Him.
Faith is nothing more than believing God to do exactly what He says in His Word to do, and our standing firm on it without waivering.
Let us speak good that we may see good.
Rejoice, we have a faithful God.
Speaking Forth, Proclaiming your blessings
Can't wait to share with you. A sister in Christ showed me her plot of land where she planted some vegetables. She was telling us about it in February that she wanted to sow some seeds on a plot of land. In my mind, I thought it was near impossible in land scarce Singapore. And lo and behold, her neighbourhood community club put up a notice for residents who would like to try their hands in planting. And allocated each interested their small patch of land (for free). This was indeed unheard of.
Today she walked us there to see her tiny plot of land and it was indeed full grown with so much greens. And very fruitful too. She plucked her first fruit and gave it to me to use for our caregroup's chalet gathering tomorrow. The gourd is huge! We are so blessed.
Initially she started with what the horticulturist passed to her the seeds to plant. And then, her plants became the most blossoming patch. And the horticulturist's patch is indeed small compared to hers.
"why is it that the horticuturist's patch looks so pathetic compared to hers?" she replied "I have Abba whereas the horticulturist does not". "I claim everyday that like Joseph all I do prosper ... and I can see myself prospering in eveything I do" ... just imagine .... in such trying times it shocked us to hear that she was asking Abba for 5figure bonus. And when she was given only 4figure, she kept claiming that the 5figure was coming. Until she told us that indeed she received the 5figures! Such is the power of our proclamation. There is lots to claim as God's economy there is no recession nor famine! "All are yours" Yes, all He has are ours! How generous our heaveny Father! Praise Him.
Christ is the Head of my household and the King of my heart.
2 Samuel 6 (King James Version)
6And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
7And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
11And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.
12And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
13And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
14And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
15So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
When we are in Christ, we are a new creation, the old has passed and the new has come. our attitude towards Christ Jesus will determine how blessed we can be.
Obededom obviously knew how to honour the Ark, and the Ark was very comfortable in his household and so everyone and everything in his household was blessed. Compared to Uzzah whose name means personal strength.
Hence we conclude that we cannot use our personal strength to honour the Ark in our life. We must use His strength and His method. When we do, one of the evidence would be that our hearts are filled with gladness.
Like for every "...six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings."
remembering the Holy sacrifice as often as we do it, do it in remembrance of Jesus. One very practical way is to part-take the Holy Communion on a regular and personal basis remembering Jesus and honouring the finished work on the Cross.
Constantly affirming our love for Him, and His love for us.
The Holy Spirit prompted me yesterday when I was feeling so depressed "Do you still believe that God loves you very much?" His voice was so gentle and so soothing.
Sad hearts weep no more. In the presence of our Lord Jesus there is abundant life.
Amen.
We have the mind of Christ
1 Corinthians 2:16 (King James Version)
16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
Praise the Lord!
The mind of Christ dwells on the finer things in life.
The mind of Christ is extremely positive.
We have the mind of Christ, believers, believe and enjoy!
Amen
