Christ is the Head of my household and the King of my heart.

2 Samuel 6 (King James Version)

6And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

7And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

11And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.

12And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.

13And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

14And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

15So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

When we are in Christ, we are a new creation, the old has passed and the new has come. our attitude towards Christ Jesus will determine how blessed we can be.

Obededom obviously knew how to honour the Ark, and the Ark was very comfortable in his household and so everyone and everything in his household was blessed. Compared to Uzzah whose name means personal strength.

Hence we conclude that we cannot use our personal strength to honour the Ark in our life. We must use His strength and His method. When we do, one of the evidence would be that our hearts are filled with gladness.

Like for every "...six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings."
remembering the Holy sacrifice as often as we do it, do it in remembrance of Jesus. One very practical way is to part-take the Holy Communion on a regular and personal basis remembering Jesus and honouring the finished work on the Cross.

Constantly affirming our love for Him, and His love for us.

The Holy Spirit prompted me yesterday when I was feeling so depressed "Do you still believe that God loves you very much?" His voice was so gentle and so soothing.

Sad hearts weep no more. In the presence of our Lord Jesus there is abundant life.

Amen.

We have the mind of Christ

1 Corinthians 2:16 (King James Version)

16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

Praise the Lord!

The mind of Christ dwells on the finer things in life.
The mind of Christ is extremely positive.
We have the mind of Christ, believers, believe and enjoy!

Amen
